When I first met “Hawaii” Mike of Chef for Higher he was doing speakeasy-style dinners in very secret locations. But now that the cannabis laws in NYC have changed dramatically, he’s been able to come outside the shadows and serve as a model for the recreational cannabis industry. One of Hawaii Mike’s latest projects is a weekly pop-up called “CheeseHead Pizza”. Much different from from your average pop-ups, this one gives members of his “Supper Club” the luxury of a safe environment where they can link up with like minded creatives, enjoy great food and even spark up a joint if they care to.
With the new Cheesehead menu we finally have the infused NYC style pizzeria classics we’ve always dreamt about. From an assortment of calzones to garlic knots and sandwiches its safe to say they didn’t skimp on the treats to choice from. One of my favorites is the Eggplant parmigiana on housemade infused focaccia bread. And yes! It’s as good as it sounds. There are even vegan options for those that want to take a healthier route.
