This is one of those use whatever you have leftover recipes. No need to spend time making a whole new dish after all the hard work you put it preparing Thanksgiving dinner the last couple days. You can substitute the turkey for ham, roast beef, chicken etc. Go crazy and experiment. You probably make a bunch of these over the next few days So grab all the grub your relatives couldn’t fit in Tupperware they snuck in and let’s make some gravy drenched sandwiches.
Ingredients:
Roasted turkey, thinly sliced
Fresh mozzarella
Mushroom turkey gravy(any gravy works)
Chopped chives
Mini brioche buns, split
Mayonnaise
Butter
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Melt about a tablespoon of butter. Lightly toast buns. Transfer to a plate. In the same skillet add sliced turkey. Cook for 2 minute turning occasionally. Next reduce heat. Add a generous amount of gravy about 1 1/2 cups. Cook until gravy is hot.
Meanwhile spread mayonnaise on both sides of each bun. Divide even amounts of turkey on bottom buns. Add mozzarella slices on top of turkey. Followed by remaining gravy and a sprinkle of chives.
